Cryo 35°
Available for wet or dry sectioning with a 35° or a 45° angle. Section thickness range 30-300 nm. Cutting edge sizes 1.5-4 mm. DiATOME cryo diamond knives may be used for all low temperature situations such as sectioning of cryo-protected specimens, frozen hydrated specimens and industrial samples such as polymers and rubber. There are numerous advantages to our cryo diamond knives as opposed to glass knives :
- They produce thinner sections.
- Ultrathin and semithin sections with the same knife.
- Easy to produce long ribbons of sections.
- Less compression and greater uniformity of sections.
- You gain time. No knife manufacturing, no knife changing, hence no waiting for temperature equilibration.

The cryo 35° knife has demonstrated its usefulness as a standard knife for the low temperature sectioning of polymers, rubber, paints, etc. The 35° angle represents a balanced compromise between section quality and durability.
The cryo 35°(dry) and cryo 45°(dry) knives are mounted in the triangular holder is suitable for dry cryosectioning.
The cryo 35°(wet) and cryo 45°(wet) knives are mounted in the trough are used for sectioning with fluids such as a DMSO/water mixture.
