BVT SPE with immobilized Acetylcholinesterase
Amperometric Acetylcholinesterase three-electrode sensor
- Based on AC1.W2.RS
- WE has immobilized acetylcholinesterase
- Detect pesticides, toxic and neurotoxic gases
Detect pesticides with this enzyme modified electrode.
Acetylcholinesterase from electric eel type VI-S is immobilized on the working electrode’s active surface of an electrochemical sensor AC1.W2.RS (i.e. Platinum working electrode, silver reference electrode). The diameter of the immobilized bioactive membrane is 2 mm and the mean applied activity is 1 unit/mm².
What can the sensor detect?
With this electrode you can detect acetylcholinesterase inhibitors by measuring the enzyme activity before and after exposure to your sample. Analytes like organophosphorous and carbamate pesticides, toxic and neurotoxic gases (e.g. sarin) and chemical weapons inhibit acetylcholinesterase and can thus be detected.
